So, lets talk (some more) shopping...shall we?! I most definitely wanted to get back to Destin Commons for some birthday shopping, as my first visit to the commons (back in January) was too quick with too few shopping bags! While there though, I took a quick peek into Lotus and knew from that single walk through that I had to get back there.
When I walked in to the bright and airy shop last Wednesday, I was instantly excited! Pretty prints, flowy tops and dresses, kimonos, crocheted knits and much, much more! I have been on a kimono kick lately (cue the excitement) so I was happy to find one on my first lap around the store, along with a black super soft high low dress with a knotted criss-crossed back. As I started lap 2, I spotted kimono number 2 (yay!) which was totally different in texture and color from number one, therefore...totally necessary. At that point, a sweet and cute gal came and took my items to the fitting room for me and I did one last lap around the store (just in case!).
I tried on 3 fabulous pieces and left with ALL three fabulous pieces! The sweet and cute gal (Katie, per my receipt) chatted with me a bit while I was checking out and I learned a little more about the stylish ways of Lotus. There are eight locations, the one I visited in Florida and seven others throughout Alabama and Georgia. Bummed out that you don't live in any of those states? Have no fear...you can shop online too! YAY! And after checking out their website, I learned that they are constantly getting in new items, so we know that their selection will always remain fresh, current and on trend.
This black high low dress is so soft...like really really soft! I am not generally drawn to the high low look, but since this was a less drastic difference front to back, I tried it and loved!
Fun and simple in the front...party in the back! Black Dress $32.00
I was instantly drawn to this kimono. The black and white design is chic, but add a pop color with neon embroidery and BAM! This piece will go with everything and spice up the most casual of outfits. And will look great with the above dress and some neon accessories! Neon Kimono $31.00
This kimono is my fave. The natural tones mixed with some super color in the ribbon-ish detail...its perfect! The length on this one is longer and I love that, it makes it more versatile. With a dress, boyfriend shorts & a tank, a LBD or even as a bathing suit coverup...works for all and more! Ribbon Kimono $36.00
So...if you don't have a local store, (I consider mine to be the FL location, even though I live in CT) make sure you visit Lotus Boutique online and do some shopping! And check out their blog and/or follow via social media on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram too!
I heart Lotus!
